ART: THE
MESSENGER
Rittelmann
Gallery
August 1 - August 22
Carlo Thertus is a born artist who never attended art school or instruction yet
he remains to be one of the most prolific Artists of our time. Thertus’
paintings unite in a comprehensive theme, giving a critical and much needed
message to humanity. Driven to paint by dreams, passion and honor, Thertus'
prolific work can be seen throughout the world. In the summer of 1991 he painted
“The End...The Beginning” which has proven both prophetic and visionary. He knew
it a message he was meant to paint and
that only the President of the United States should have. In 1994 he sent the
painting “The End...The Beginning” to President Bill Clinton and it was welcomed
into the White House.
In November of 2000, Thertus painted “Between Man and God” and “The Flag, What
Freedom Means
to Me” which was painted on September 9, 2001. Thertus believes that art has its
own function in our world and that according to the world’s conditions today,
art in itself is the messenger of our time.
